DRUG AND POISON INFORMATION UNIT
    resource centre for information on toxicity and poisoning risks
    assist in the management of poisoning cases
   
dissemination of drug and poison information and advice on the use of efficient,
   reliable and cost-effective methods
 
RESEARCH AND DOCUMENTATION UNIT
    continuous compilation of poisonous substances
   
development of computer applications to facilitate information transfer for the Drug and Poison Information Services
   
research on the systematic collection of poisoning data and information through toxicovigilance and toxicokinetic studies
 
POISON EDUCATION AND PREVENTION UNIT
   
conduct and coordinate continuous education and prevention programs in the training of allied and health professionals and the public
   
collaborate with governmental and NGOs and other bodies in related activities
    training health sciences students in toxicology and poisoning
 
TOXICOLOGY LABORATORY UNIT
    provide supportive services to identify poisons to assist in the diagnosis, management and prognosis of poisoning cases
   
involved in surveillance programmes on population at risk to poisons
   
collaborate with governmental and NGOs on a development of analytical methods
 
ICT AND MULTIMEDIA UNIT
    establish an efficient and cost effective information gateway for distance learning
    produce training kits to enhance effective learning
    establish an ICT training centre to produce highly skilled and competitive manpower
