Peatland Fire Research: PRN Representative Only Malaysian at DIOXIN 2025

   

ANTALYA, TURKIYE – Ts. Dr. Ahmad Shalihin stood as the sole Malaysian representative at the 45th International Symposium on Halogenated Persistent Organic Pollutants (DIOXIN 2025) held from November 1 to 6, 2025.

 

Supported by a fellowship from the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Dr. Shalihin presented his research titled "Inhalation Risk Assessment of Dioxins and Particulate Matter from Peatland Fire Emissions". The symposium featured 350 participants from 45 countries, providing a prestigious platform for PRN to highlight critical environmental toxicology issues affecting the region.
