Drug and Poison Information Service (DPIS)
PRN operates the Drug and Poison Information Service (DPIS) through its dedicated call centre that provides toxicological information for poisoning emergencies, drug overdose cases, chemical safety, and related issues.
Our Team
Trained pharmacists staff the call centre during its operating hours using standardised references and databases during consultations. Calls are recorded for auditing and training purposes. Most calls come from hospitals and clinics. Some also come from households and workplace. DPIS shares poisoning data and drug information with locally authorities and with regional poison centre upon request.
