PRN Staff Revamp Green Spaces to Embed 5R Sustainability Culture

Penglibatan dan kerjasama staf    In a dedicated effort to integrate eco-friendly practices into its corporate workspace, Pusat Racun Negara (PRN) successfully concluded a three-day intensive "Green Corner and PRN Courtyard Revamp" gotong-royong campaign today. Spearheaded by the PRN Sustainability Committee and supported by general staff at the Laman Lestari PRN, the initiative transformed a previously underutilized open area into a vibrant green space utilizing the 5R concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink, and Reinvent) in preparation for an upcoming departmental Green Corner Competition. The massive transformation features creative upcycling projects, including a rainwater harvesting system built from discarded laboratory containers for crop irrigation, pallet wood furniture, and an innovative PRN signboard crafted entirely from used mineral bottle caps. Beyond structural updates, the project emphasizes environmental education through a labeled herb garden, extensive planting of flora for a cooler microclimate, and the installation of a Smoke-Free zone banner to promote a healthy workspace, successfully cementing PRN's long-term commitment to embedding green agendas into its daily organizational culture.
