- 100 Scientists, 100 Schools, 100 Days Programme

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) collaborated with the National Poison Centre, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), and Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UNIKL) to implement the 100 Scientists, 100 Schools, and 100 Days Programme at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Teluk Bahang, Penang. This initiative aims to cultivate student interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through direct engagement with scientists and experts in knowledge-sharing sessions held at schools.
In addition, the programme fosters critical thinking, innovation, and creativity among students while increasing awareness of career opportunities in STEM fields. It also serves to strengthen the relationship between educational institutions and the scientific community, ultimately nurturing a generation that is science-literate and capable of contributing to the nation’s technological advancement.
The programme was implemented in three phases:
- Phase 1 on 6 December 2024
- Phase 2 on 17 January 2025
- Phase 3 on 21 February 2025
Each phase was carefully designed to provide students with continuous exposure to various aspects of science and technology. A total of 53 students from Form 1 and Form 2 participated in the programme. They had the opportunity to engage directly with scientists and subject matter experts, which helped them deepen their interest in STEM, strengthen their understanding of scientific concepts, and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills applicable in daily life.
