Toxland Adventure: Children Learn Safety at Festival of Ideas (FOI) Penang

PRN brought interactive learning to the Festival of Ideas (FOI) Penang 2025, creating a dedicated Kid’s Zone that welcomed 136 children under the age of nine. Supported by USM student volunteers, the zone featured a coloring contest and a neuro-sensor booth for stress assessments.

 

The highlight for many was the Toxland Adventure game, which introduced children to the dangers of household poisons in a fun, engaging way. Additionally, the "Wall of Future" collected over 1,000 postcards where visitors shared their dreams. The event successfully used play-based education to promote safety and healthy living among the youngest members of society.
