Since 1994, more than 70,000 poisoning cases have been reported to the National Poison Centre. Recent data indicates that 93% of poisoning cases occur at home, and nearly 46% involved children aged between 1 to 9 years. Even more concerning is that 66% of unintentional poisoning cases are caused by household chemical products and medicines.
The National Poison Centre continually strives to educate, protect, and curb poisoning for the safety of families and the wider community. Prevention starts at home, and more importantly — it begins with ourselves.
